Welcome to my Art Space. My name is E’lisa’beth Brown and I am a painter, a sculptor, a designer with a vision.  Empowering artists to take creative risks and realize their creative potential by creating sample.

As an accomplished Los Angeles feature film sculptor by trade, graphic artist by necessity, and mixed-media painter by passion, I recently decided to indulge my hearts desire. It’s a journey that continues to surprise me every time I step in front of my canvas. My paintings continue to evolve in style and technique, but one thing stays constant: the human face and abstractions of expression. Broken lin s, textures and colors lines and painterly strokes to express the emotional vulnerability of human existence in everyday life. The impermanence and fragility of life is the essential focus of my work.

Experimentation with either a monochromatic palette or an explosion of vibrant colors, depends on my mood.  The process of applying paint to canvas is an emotional experience for me and I even find it a bit sexy.  Exploring the use of shadow and light as a push and pull of interest for the viewer is a constant theme in my art.  I often start each painting with a simple concept or idea in mind then I start placing color throughout the canvas, letting the colors intuitively reveal the composition.  The paintings develop in response to the energy created between myself and the paint.  I use painting as a meditation and I deeply enjoy the never ending challenge to evoke a particular mood or emotion for the viewer.  -Donna Downy

"In embarking on a new chapter as an artist later in life, I have rediscovered the innate goodness and light that resides within each of us. After a 24-year career in the entertainment industry that led me away from life's essentials, I have chosen to reignite the embers of my inner flame. I believe that we all possess a fundamental goodness that never diminishes – it is our choice to nurture it or turn away. Through my art, I seek to celebrate the simplicity and beauty of existence, weaving together light and dark, textures, and colors to reflect the richness of the human experience. I aim to share this lightness of being with the world, believing that it is essential for nurturing a healthy global community."
